The owner of a late life asset discovered a degradation in a carbon steel piping at the start of the existing concrete penetration. IK performed a FEED study and was awarded the contract for EPC and installation offshore, based on the solutions and technical knowhow.

The following keywords describes the steps taken to perform the work in safe and effective manner:

  • Site survey were done with 3D scanning of needed volumes 
  • Extensive testing to select the correct secondary injection sealant were performed
  • A 6" Wall clamp system were design utilizing Super duplex materials were the secondary sealant volume were sealed off using long life polymer seals
  • System was installed allowing the client to re-establish the integrity of the system
